DAYS 1-6 - HANOI & SAPA
A serene walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and an interactive cooking class are followed by an overnight train. Wake up surrounded by the delights of Northern Vietnam. Arriving in Sapa, stop at an enchanting local market. Witness the stunning vistas of the stepped ricefields across the Ta Van valley and soak up the regional lifestyle of the mountain dwelling locals, before heading to Topas Ecolodge, perched high above the valley. Gain an insight into the unique way of life in the mountains amongst the minority villages. An overnight train journey brings you back to Hanoi.

DAYS 7-9 - HANOI & HALONG BAY
Slip away to the ancient Temple of Literature and infamous Hanoi Hilton prison and delight in a traditional water puppet performance. In captivating Halong Bay, fall asleep to the water lapping at the bows of our private boat as you float amongst thousands of limestone islands before returning to Hanoi.

DAYS 10-12 - HUE & HOI AN
Fly to the former imperial capital of Hue, and uncover the complex city’s rich history, including the Citadel and elaborate emperors’ tomb. Visit the Spiral Foundation and meet the inspirational workers. The stunning drive to Hoi An passes lush rice fields and pretty coastal views. A delightful walk through the streets of Hoi An reveals traditional houses, temples and the famous Japanese Bridge. Delve into fabulous cuisine at an enjoyable evening cooking class. Learn about local produce during a morning market tour with some of the students from the Streets Foundation, then enjoy free time to get to know Hoi An’s charming streets, or whisk away on a short cycle ride to the gleaming beach nearby.

DAYS 13-16 - SAIGON & MEKONG DELTA
Discover Saigon by foot as you stroll along the city’s historic Dong Khoi Street, the former Rue Catinat, and gain fascinating insights at the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. The amazing Cu Chi tunnels are testament to the resilient history of the Vietnamese people. Travel to Can Tho in the heart of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and meet some intriguing local characters at local farmhouses and fruit orchards as you twist your way down the rivers and canals of this fascinating region by boat. Savour the relaxing ambience of sampans gliding across neon-lit waters from the riverside promenade at sundown, then visit an authentic floating market.

DAYS 17-18 - PHNOM PENH
A short flight brings you to Phnom Penh. Wat Phnom, the city’s oldest temple is just moments from the hotel. Explore the fascinating town with a visit to the National Museum, and the silver-lined floor at the majestic Silver Pagoda. Reflect on the Khmer Rouge legacy at Tuol Sleng, and then learn about the plight of local street children, and what you can do to help at the ChildSafe Centre.

DAYS 19-20 - SIEM REAP
Fly to Siem Reap, gateway to the incredible temples of Angkor. A cruise on Tonle Sap Lake sees the red light of sunset fall across the vibrant floating villages. Creep through the jungle in darkness, your path illuminated by torchlight, and enter the little-used eastern gate of Angkor Wat to watch the first rays of dawn shine across the magnificent temple, an unforgettable experience. Later, marvel at the magnificent stone heads of the Bayon and wander the atmospheric ruins of tree-covered Ta Phrom. A fun tuk-tuk ride whisks you between temples, ideal for taking photos. On your last day, enjoy free time until your departure transfer.
