2012 - Your Journey starts Hanoi, ends Saigon

DAYS 1-3 - HANOI & HALONG BAY
On arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the pleasant drive to Halong Bay, for an enchanting private cruise amongst the countless limestone islands, sleeping on-board on the sparkling bay. Back in Hanoi, enjoy an evening performance of the famous water puppets. At the former home and mausoleum of ‘Uncle Ho’, learn all about this iconic character, and then slip away to the ancient Temple of Literature and infamous Hanoi Hilton prison.
Hotels: Sunway, Overnight boat

DAYS 4-5 - OVERNIGHT TRAIN & HUE
Race through the darkness on an overnight train journey, waking in the former imperial capital, Hue. Cycle along delightful country roads and wide city streets and explore the city’s historic sites, including the Citadel, elaborate emperors’ tombs and the Thien Mu Pagoda. At the Spiral foundation, meet the deaf and mute workers as they guide you to make your own souvenir.
Hotel: Overnight train, Asia

DAY 6-8 - HOI AN
The scenic drive to Hoi An follows the stunning Hai Van Pass. Stop at Danang’s famous Cham Museum and sacred Marble Mountain along the way. A walk through the charming streets of Hoi An unveils traditional houses and temples and the iconic Japanese Bridge. An early morning cycle to surrounding farms and villages is glorious. In your free time, cycle out to nearby Cua Dai Beach, or follow in the footsteps of 17th century traders as you visit tailor shops and art galleries.

DAYS 9-11 - QUY NHON & NHA TRANG
Drive to the moving My Lai war memorial. Rest for the night in the captivating port town of Quy Nhon, before travelling through some magnificent coastal scenery to Nha Trang. DAYS 12-13 - DALAT
Leaving the coast behind, head inland toward the Central Highlands, past rustic villages and tea plantations to the former French hill station of Dalat. If you’re feeling energetic, you might like to cycle the steep ascent into town. While in Dalat, wander the colourful local market and admire the faded Art Deco charm of the last emperor’s summer residence.
Hotel: Saigon Dalat

DAYS 14-15 - MUI NE & VUNG TAU
Cycle the delightful road from Dalat to laid-back Mui Ne for an afternoon exploration of this pretty seaside town. Hop back on your bike for a coastal ride to Vung Tau, another city on the glimmering sea. These rides are arguably some of the best Vietnam has to offer.
