1.  Avoid the crowds on half day trip to the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao and explore the fascinating backstreets and cruise the canal.
2.  Go beyond the towns of Lijiang & Dali into surrounding villages, mountains and monasteries that are less frequented by tourists.
3.  Glimpse the daily life of a local Tibetan family and the issues faced by the people who call the picturesque villages around Zhongdian home.
